Schedule:
Part-time (approx 28-32 hours/week)

 

Hours:
Shifts between the operating hours of 9:00am-6:00pm (Mon-Fri) and 9:00am-1:00pm (Sat).
The tentative schedule for this position is as follows (however, subject to change): Mon: 2:00-6:00, Tue: 10:00-6:00, Wed: 2:00-6:00, Thu: 2:00-6:00, Fri: 10:00-6:00, possible Saturdays: 9:00-1:00

 

Qualifications:
– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Current registration in MD Board of Pharmacy
– At least 1 year experience in retail pharmacy
– Strong computer skills
– Effective communication skills
– Ability to problem solve
– Excellent customer service

 

Job Details:
Under the supervision of a pharmacist and in coordination with other technicians, pharmacy technicians are responsible for a variety of duties including:

- Fill and Refill prescriptions
– Receive, enter and process prescription information in computer system
– Demonstrate knowledge of 3rd party insurance by using available resources when communicating with doctors’ offices, insurance companies and other healthcare professionals
– Contact necessary parties to address issues and achieve the best possible outcome for patients
– Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels in the pharmacy through ordering, rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies
– Register: check out patients accurately
