Broadneck Pharmacy opened in 1985 at its current location by Bud LaChapelle, RpH. The pharmacy started by serving the patients of doctor’s offices in the Broadneck Medical Center, including the late Dr. Raymond Srsic, a well respected JHU pediatrician whose office was across the hall from the pharmacy.
Over the years the pharmacy’s reach has spread throughout the Broadneck Peninsula and into Severna Park and Annapolis. Bud’s son Marcus LaChapelle, PharmD had worked at the pharmacy since childhood and graduated from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 2007. The pharmacy was remodeled in 2008. Marcus bought the pharmacy in 2009. Bud and Marcus still work together at the pharmacy, Bud takes more time off though. The pharmacy’s focus on customer service is the key to its longevity and growth.
